I have a sub with a bad amp. I also have an old stereo amp (not bridgeable) and a Denon a/v receiver. I want to go from the receiver's sub out to amp's stereo in to sub (4 ohm).
I know I can just use one channel of the amp to the sub. It does work, but at a reduced level. Would this configuration sum the channels? It's a mono source, so I wouldn't be combining 2 mis-matched stereo channels.
Being a cheapskate, I'm not interested in buying anything, but I also don't want to damage anything either.
