RE: Nissei styrene and copper foil pf values??

Depends on my mood, but I will usually use any good film capacitor in my stash. And, sadly or fortunately, I have a lot of capacitors in my stash. I also try to follow the suggestion of Morgan Jones and use bypass capacitors that are about 1% the value of the capacitor being bypassed, in a Power Supply. I do not tend ever to bypass a coupling capacitor. When I have done it, I have regretted it, except in one case: I bypassed a 10uF electrolytic (ELNA Silmic II), that had to be used as a coupler due to space limitations, with a 0.1uF teflon. That combo worked nicely. But normally one would not ever have to use a 10uF coupling cap.
