I have my 100.2 humming (I mean hum comes out of the speakers).
I've already made many trouble-shooting tests and I'm sure it's due to the 100.2.
I've contacted ARC and they say it may be the filter caps in the amp's power supply.
Then I've contacted the local assistance (I live in Italy) and they told me that they obvioulsy have to see the amp to make a correct diagnosis (correct !) but if it's the filter caps it will cost more or less 400 (more than 400$); don't remember if that includes VAT or not.
Before spending the money, I'd like to be sure (if possible) that replacing filter caps will solve the problem, so: do you have experiences in power amp hummin' ? Do you think there may be other causes (and remedies) than issues with power supply filter caps ?
What filter caps should I ask to be used to replace the original ones ? (I don't know if the original ones are still available).
thanks, ciao
