In the past I had used ferrite clamps on IC. Mainly on the digital leadout

Ferrite clamps make for a slightly smoother sound, and dampen the highs a little. The MORE ferrite, more effect.
SO... I hope this comment helps.

Way back in the 80's I used ferrite bits. Even in the 90's Now I find I do not need them at all.
Better stuff. Power conditioning..
