Not sure myself, But I guess if one absorbs vibrations, two till absorb more? Hell, at 34 cents, triple stack them! Mapleshde glues the two together. I know, because I bought a set and one of them separated during shipping and you can see the glue residue. It looks like rubber cement to me.
