Apex of the two panels is quite critical: sometimes only a degree or two makes a huge difference. You may be hearing some of the reflection off the floor on the right side too 8^).
When the room is asymmetrical don't be afraid to set up the panels likewise.Might be easier to use those double hinges or even a l bracket on the bottom
Then again on the Joan Baez live album I was perplexed because her voice was slightly off center (at least on my favorite track). Then I let the Lp play on she popped into dead center !. Apparently from the photos she would simply shift her stance and move her weight from one leg to the other while the mike remained the same....
