The MR film has a series construction-- in effect two caps in series inside one damping capsule. The outer foil of one "cap" is the inner foil of the other. Picture the right-hand outer foil associated with the left lead-out, and the left-hand outer foil associated with the right lead-out. When reversed in situ the construction is identical.
