I use a number of low ohm higher power resistors in the filament circuits of my DHT 4P1L amps. Typically from 3W up to 30W. Values 1 to 25 ohms
The listening tests I've done would seem to rank them:
1. Vitreous enamel
2. All the rest - ceramic/cement coated, metal clad, thick film etc
I see some silicone coated ones for sale sometimes, like Vishay-Dale CW series. Where would you rank these compared with vitreous enamel? The Dale HLM series are pretty good and look to be similar.
