I see you are from Ohio. There is a fellow in Athens Ohio named Bill Schneider who built some really nice Linkwitz LX521s. Perhaps you could talk him out of a demo if you were to track him down. The link to his builder's page is below.
I've built and am using some Linkwitz LX-minis and am about 2/3 done with some Linkwitz LX-521.4s. I heard the minis and 521s side by side at the RMAF in Denver last year and both are great sounding speakers with the 521s sounding just superb. If you ever get over to Wisconsin send me an email and you can listen to the minis. I keep running into health issues that have slowed work on the 521s so I'm not exactly sure how soon they'll be done. I'm hoping by Christmas.
