RE: Questions about size of resistor ?

I am guessing that the "25C" marking MAY indicate that the resistor value was measured at room temperature. Thus if operated at any temperature above that, which is quite likely, you should expect the value to change by an amount calculated when you apply the thermal coefficient for that resistor. Also, the Wattage rating often does not tell you how much voltage the resistor will tolerate, regardless of the rated Wattage. For example, the HOLCO resistors are/were notorious for breaking down at high-ish voltages, even though the Watts dissipated were well below spec. Michael Percy explicitly warned of this problem, and I had a few blow when used as plate resistors, conservatively. Digikey usually has a spec sheet on each product; check it.
