You could use a test cable. Get some good old fashion speaker wire, some RCA jacks from radioshack and their pack of 1/4 watt METAL film resistor pack.

Put a 1k resistor in line in the + leg. And a 10K resistor between the + and ground leg.
That sound cut it down I believe about 12db??
