pixelphoto, have you tried 100,000uf or two of your 47,000 uf for 97,000uf on your video/digital system as suggested by "unclestu" with the 0.15uf polystyrene bypass cap?
A quote from unclestu;
"For video several caveats. Video and digital signals translate to frequencies ( not steady state) well above the analog bandwidth. Placing your set up on analog will generally make things unbearably bright (IMHE).
I still use a single 9V battery but I up the capacitance considerably. I run about 100,000 uF plus a bypass cap for video and digital components. I use about 50,000 uF for analog plus a larger bypass cap. A 100,000 uF does slow things down a bit but the black levels increase dramatically. I have noted that you need a bypass cap. For video, a small value film cap works well: .1 or .15 uF, polystyrene work well. Sometimes I parallel two of them and you can see the additional zip in the color. You can assess bypass caps by remembering which ones added a lot of brightness n an analog system: those will work well with video/digital signals."
