Amazing what you can patent eh? The gist of this patent is they claim to have "invented" a cable where the ratio of the diameter of the signal and earth is in a certain range. Gosh, a work of genius!
Thing is : patents are only any good if they have been challenged and won. This one would collapse when someone produced a prior cable that used (accidentally maybe) the same sort of ratio. Given they have claimed a fairly wide range - between 1:2.6 and 1:4 - there's bound to be prior art. In addition it's hardly something that someone skilled in the arts couldn't have come up with. Makes you wonder why they bothered.
The separate question of whether this actually works is different again.
