Capacitor answer

The Mundorf SIO cap is the best tweeter xover cap I have heard, and I've tried quite a few. It is definitely more airy and detailed than the Supreme. Whether or not it will be the best for your tweeter cannot be reliably predicted; there are very few "standard rules" for selecting individual components.

You gave no information about the speakers themselves, but the ultimate solution is a better tweeter. That will ALWAYS make a bigger difference than any xover component or wire. I guess that might qualify as a standard rule.

You could also try Caddock thick film "MP" resistors with a small heatsink. I like their sound better than Duelund or Mills or the cheaper Mundorf's, and they're not very expensive.

High frequencies also come from the upper midrange, so don't neglect that driver.

Peace,
