You might try it, nevertheless. I really did not perceive an issue with the L07D, until I actually installed the shield; blocking EMI raised the performance of the L07D by a noticeable amount, to my surprise. Depends on where the motor in an EMT idler is located, assuming 938 is an idler. DD's, like the L07D, and especially DD's with coreless motors built like that of the original Dual coreless motor (like the L07D), are especially susceptible to EMI from the motors, because of the orientation of the coils wrt the platter.
