Hello All,
I have to replace my TKD 2CP2511 volume pot on my AN-KIT 1, which is 10 years old and is beginning to fail. I was thinking of replacing it with the 2P-2511S TKD 21 steps, stepped attenuator that has the same size so it is very simple to replace. This series attenuator has the first steps before 100% attenueation with 8dB increment, the second has 5 dB,then 4Db and the rest 2dB(Attenuation (BTS-50dB) 0, 2, 4, ...(2dB step)... , 30, 32, 34, 37, 42, 50), so i'm a little concern because I will build a pair of 97 dB sensitivity speakers and I don't know if will get too louder at the first or second steps.
My second choice is an Acoustic Dimension 41 steps series attenuator, but it wont fit without a big modification as my amp has the volume pot in the center with a reduced internal space that barely fit the TKD.
Any comment will be wellcome.
Regards
