This might sound really cheap, but here you go !
First , under CD player, pr-eamp, and amps,i purchased 1 inch Baltic birch plywood, cut the wood to dimensions of the equipment, then sanded and varnished(two layers of varnish) the boards, which were placed on the glass shelves of my rack;
two:purchased plain cork squares, and thin(1/8 inch) foam under-layer for floating wooden floors; very lightly glued , in that order, cork, foam, cork, foam, cork, cut in 2.5 inch circles, then placed on top of wood , under equipment.
Did it make a difference? I think somewhat, enough to justify the work, especially when I play loud rock or big symphonies.
In a nutshell, that was/is my cheap solution. Next, working on a solution for my speakers.
I welcome all ideas as well!
Thanks.
