Hawai ? Nice weather all year ?
Molds, indeed also described, but.......
Expensive things like high-end loudspeakerenclosures sold to innocent non technical music lovers should never be build with lousy parts like deterioreting surrounds while quality everlasting material is at hand.
In my case I now only use everlasting surrounds and in the living room Magnepan's out of direct and indirect sunlight, never problems.
Expensive loudspeakers with foam all big disappointments, I learned my lesson.
Also acoustic foam in some boxes was totally pulverized, glasswool or wool or cotton alway's better.
As a DIY man I like to tweak, repair, modify loudspeakers, but I refuse to work on expensive high-end stuff, that must not be necessary I think, they must be good right from the start and fairly long lasting and not give problems whatsoever.
