Coating modify's parameters, but worth trying, thank you.
Why don't manufacturers use the surround stuff as implied on Philips woofers from the sixties/seventies, they last forever. (rubber, neoprene?) Answer:they want to keep selling new speakers.
The softening chemical in foam evaporises over time, has nothing to do with where you live, foam is a conn, it prevents you to enjoy the loudspeakers over a long time.
