Recently I had a Thorens TD-280 MKIII brought to me with an intermittent AC Wall Power Supply.
The cable that is molded into the Plug-in Wall unit would open circuit and cause intermittent operation.
I searched for an OEM replacement with no luck, so off to Epay for a substitute.
The solution was a Edwards Transformer that had exactly the 16VAC Secondary Voltage with twice the capacity of the original; 5 VA is now 10 VA.
Works like a dream, and I can seemd to sense better pace and Low Frequency control with this transformer.
So if you have an old Thorens with an intermittent Wall Wart..... here is the solution.
