Giron is a stiff, thick material with which it is difficult to work and quite impossible to bend around a small speaker that has to re-installed through the existing cabinet hole. MuMetal is an alternative that you can buy from lessEMF or from eBay (MuMetal (Ultraperm) Permalloy Alloy Shielding Sheet; Mu Metal Audio Shield 80). Serrated scissors are needed to cut either material so that it will not later cut the user excessively.
