Speaking of how easy WBT can be to work with, I never looked back after choosing WBT spades for a set of VH Audio CHeLA external bi-wire speaker cables in my main audio system. When I replaced the stereo power amplifier in that system with another model that features a different size binding post, it was a relief that the WBT design is modular, in that the termination of the wire is first encased within a copper crimp sleeve, then inserted into the spade connector entry point and secured via a pair of set-screws. This type of modular connector system allowed me to swap-out one size spade for another, with no hassle nor sonic penalty as a result. This would not have been possible via direct-crimped nor soldered connectors, even if those termination methods may be considered by some to be superior to a modular type.
