a while ago it was suggested to add magnets to black discs and see the result on a set of headphones. I got no result but gave it another try today. I have a set of small rare earth magnets from a Radio Shack closeout and set them into holes I had drilled into my Black Discs. I set them on my phono preamp and had one of those experiences where you go to listen and you think somethings broke because there is no sound at all ... till the music starts. ... so, that is what a black background is, hunh?
The phono preamp in play is a Yaqin MS-22B
