Some company makes "power strip liberators" which are very short extension cords designed to get wall warts away from power strips. I have several of them and the quality is quite good. They work fine with a cheap Radio Shack power strip. Try froogle (google's shopping site) and search for "power strip liberator" and they should turn up.
