No it doesn't.
Those resonances are part of the performance and thus part of what was recorded.
I want to hear all of those resonances but I don't want to add my own.
Jimi's guitar was very distorted (on purpose). When I play a Jimi Hendrix album I want to hear Jimi's distortion, not my own.
"Your wall resonate, as well as your windows. So does your coffee table and other pieces of furniture."
Sure they do, but that doesn't mean it's a good thing.
If you take measures to reduce the amplitude of the resonance of those things it will result in making it easier for you to hear what your speakers are doing.
Maybe you don't want to hear what your speakers are doing, I don't know.
Whatever.
As I said, you and I have very different goals.
