home grown PHT




I was reading about the 'transformers' from Synergistic named PHT [pronounced POT] that you set on your cartridge which 'enhances' it. I was intrigued.

I have a box of these brass fishing weights I am always ready to plop down on something audio and gave it a try, this time upside down in 'transformer resonance stance.' and it surely had an effect on the at14sa. way more colorful and holographic - in line with what Mikey reports only mine are over headphones.

easy to implement with a dab of super glue. i tested a/b wise before securing them. i adjusted VTF accordingly. and i saved $199+tax.
