As a new owner of a brand-spanking-used tube monoblocks, and also someone who has crystals all over the system - I'd like to know how to apply them there.
Not talking about transformers - that's already done, to great effect, as expected. Searching here, I saw unclestu's recommendation to use them either on top, or bottom of the tubes. The top should be doable with my amps' power tubes relatively easy, since 6C33C have three "pimples" on the top, and a crystal can be placed directly between them.
What about small tubes, 6SL7 and 6SN7?
I saw people mention using Black Discus, with the hole drilled in it, but I'm more interested in actual "rocks". Based on my experience, I prefer to have flexibility to listen to all the kinds I have on hand, to select the one that works best - instead of being limited to Black Discus' formulation.
Ideas?

- Certainly - not needed for 6C33C, I'm talking for input (6SL7) and driver (6SN7). N/T - carcass93 20:15:35 01/07/15 (3)
