I curious how you know these things. For instance:

Some questions:
1) What is "cross vibration"?
2) How do you figure (or measure) that this increases the air pressure that they exert?
3) How did you figure out that this supposed increase in pressure "encourages it to move more in sympathy". Sympathy with what?
4) And how did you know that this leads to degraded sound images?
As well as this, I'm interested to know why you think that neoprene is such a good damping material. In my opinion, it lacks the viscoelastic properties of a good damping material.
