System Degaussing with a Difference

After experiencing the remarkable sound improvement from substituting brass for ferrous wood screws/ white nylon for machine screws on speakers, white nylon cable ties for stainless steel machine screws + nuts/ white nylon for stainless steel machine screws on the amplifier, I concluded that the focus of degaussing system cables themselves was akin to hammering the wood next to the nails. Magnetism is retained most strongly by exposed metal (rather than frequently shielded cables) so I turned off my audio system and disconnected all speaker, interconnect, USB, HDMI, AC power, AC adapter and coaxial cables and passed the Walker Talisman six times over each cable end of whatever kind from each side at a distance of four inches. I then did the same to each speaker terminal and the front of each AC wall unit from three inches.

Reconnecting everything and restarting the system was ear-opening as the idea at that stage had been pure theory. If you value musicality, clarity, and definition of sound and clean video imagery, I encourage you to try it and report your results. I found the improvements for so little work surprising, disproportionate and impressive by contrast to system disk CDs and cable degaussing. Enjoy!
