I regularly treat circuit boards with electrolytic and film caps, and have been doing to for 15 years. The facility I work with, Cryogenics International, has from time-to-time, treated whole components quite successfully.
My only concern would be about (much older) laminated transformers (such as within vintage gear), and whether those old adhesives will survive the depth of temperature without cracking. Their survival would be on a case-by-case basis, of course. In all my experience, I'm not familiar with anyone cryo-treating vintage parts or transformers. I have, however, treated many, many vintage tubes with complete success.
