Ordered another wattgate 381- where to install it.

What would be a better place, at the wall, that feeds my regulator, that feeds the conditioner, which feeds my CDP and processor- OR open the power conditioner, and replace the outlet inside the unit with the wattgate.... Wondering where in the chain it would do the most good.
