I was using a high end RadioShack 100k volume pot as a passive on my NAD C275BEE amp, with GREAT results.
I wanted to add IR remote so purchased a 47K alps pot board with IR remote control.
Connected the 47k and the results were not too pretty. Rolled off highs and dulled dynamics.
Could this simply be an impedance problem? Or sonic difference between volume pots?
Can the pot be removed off the board, so I can cobble something together to use the other pots? Or are they permentently fixed between motor and volume pot casing?
