In this case I can definitely tell the difference. I run 3m unshielded IC's and there's no way to avoid crossing over the power cords for the amps (Acoustat direct drive servos). Other than the RFI/EMI interference I couldn't tell you if the rest of the run makes a difference being off the floor or not.
