In playing with the Alexandrite. I am building a flashing LED circuit.
Very simple: resistor inline with the LED and then hooked up to a battery (I am awaiting some AC power supplies).
The curious thing I once I turn the circuit on even without any crystals nearby I hear an improvement in my system. Background becomes quieter and more fine detail becomes evident. Dynamics improve and sound from top through bottom becomes "tighter" for lack of a better word.
The sonic change is not staggering, but noticeable. I am actively pursuing the alexandrite front which provides, at least my system, greater sonic improvement, but I thought I'd mention this for others to possibly pursue
You can pick up Flashing LED very cheaply on Ebay. I use ultra bright 2Hz models white light.
For naysayers, and you know who you are, please don't bother. but I find it is an interesting effect.
As I previously mentioned it may be the basis for the Stein Harmonizers, but a hell of a lot cheaper, so far.
