Does this all apply to the W4S STP-SE? It is 'passive' below a certain level than goes into gain mode. The 'best case' output impedance, which is VERY low, occurs just before going 'active'.
Current price is right at 2K$. I have no idea how that compares to other passives or if the W4S might be in its own class.
With the multiple outputs, it is a natural for an active crossover biamp system.
