The only problem is the box is in the same place - the other side of the room.Yesterday I ran 10' of 16 guage speaker wire to my sitting area. Soldered it into a radioshack project box with a quality (non RS part) 10k volume pot - and I really don't hear any, or notice anyway roll off.
Well, just saved myself $1k for a passive. And the possibility of trashing a preamp.
