In addition I place small AC caps (.1 uF)across the three legs of my power cords. Using the Marinco style plugs I can squeeze small AC caps within the housing, for a noticeable increase in sound quality.
I attributed it to a reduction of noise, but in conversation with a cable manufacturer who tried it, he told me that it was in reality altering the power factor coefficient for your system. I have no way of measuring this, but I will accept his word and I know that it works, a take off of the Magnan philosophy.
In addition I use the 120 Volt AC caps in the tri wire configuration on the filament leads of my tube gear. While snubbing the B+ seems to be an accepted fact, the RC network is placed usually after the rectification. It dawned on me one day that the spikes are also being thrown backwards into the power transformer secondaries. While the voltage required for a B+ snubber is rather high, I tried snubbing the filament ( much lower voltage and parts were already in my parts bin). The effect was quite dramatic: a fuller, warmer tone with greater midrange detail. Apparently the spikes from the B+ and the filament rectifies re going back into the power transformer secondaries and creating more noise.
Of course YMMV
