My 'tuner' has two one for AM signal strength and one for FM signal strength.
If they were noisy than it would effect AM radio SNR on the audio, wouldn't it? NB the AM from the tuner is wide bandwidth not the usual 60-3.5khz bump.
Finding room in the SCA35 will be the issue. Unless your speakers are large horns and/or your room tiny, you'll be able to hear clipping on acoustic music, easily.
A clipping LED would be cheaper, to boot.
