Funny you should mention this product. I just ran down to the basement shop to see what the product name was that I am presently using. It happens to be called 'Sound coat", BUT I can reasonably assume that it is nearly identical(and more expensive) than the product you have found. I read the Parts Express description, and looked at the phots. It's got to be close, so now, after all of that, I will tell you that it performs so much better than the asphalt product, I am only using it. I modd Carver C-9 units for fun, and found that the top cover rings like a bell. Ok, so I put brand X tar sound deadner, and yes, it was improved. Then, I took a chance on the Soundcoat product. Really, there is nomparison. Went from reduced ringing to a dull thud.
