If you use them and advertize them accurately, they're pretty good and many like them, as you do. When you go for coupling, IME, you get more from a roller type assembly, which does work in both the vertical and horizontal/rotational dimensions. YMMV, of course.
And my DIY roller balls cost me less than $3 each.
