When one gets into the more, uh, elaborate laboratory stuff, like the (negative stiffness) Minus K and the Swiss-German Halcyonics, the slightly more mundane Vibraplane and various pneumatic tables from Newport Corp. and others, the cost can get up into the several thousands quickly, as much as ten thousand or more.
