I have no experience with the Ceraball. If I understand the pic of the Ceraball, it may indeed handle horizontal/rotational vibration IF the ball can travel in the top and bottom cup. If it can't (as it appears it cannot in the Valab device in your diagram, assuming I've understood it correctly), then its only contribution to handling horizontal vibes is wobbling damped by the O ring. That's pretty lame to me in that dimension; I'm not disputing the vertical coupling.

I call them as I see them, but I'm doing it from the handicap of their poorly translated description and their pix and your diagram. So maybe I'm not seeing something that you do see.

Compared to a true roller bearing assembly, particularly those with cups top and bottom (effectively sort of a bearing race), I don't see this device as offering much of anything.

Again, looking at the use of ball point coupling in the Apex footers of the vaunted Monaco Grand Prix products, maybe this is better than it appears to me. I don't know. I'm not a fan of simple one-dimensional coupling by itself; many love it.
