The LM4562s showed up on Saturday afternoon and I got about 4 hrs of listening after swapping out the OPS2134s for the 4562s. The 4562s are a bit quieter which is helpful if you are using the PH-1 or PH-1P with a low output moving coil cartridge.
The sound of both OP amps are similiar but the LM 4562s show their superiority with very high quality source material. The improvement in sound is apparent and the sound is a bit more open on the very high quality source material. On lower quality pressings it is a level playing field and the OPA2134 is almost identical to the LM4562.
I tried the new OP amps with a variety of pressings including some 1/2 speed LPs, 45RPM pressings and some commercial pressings. The better the LP, the more difference the LM4562 made with its increased bandwith making the sound seem a bit larger and focused.
It is very hard to tell the difference until you put on very high end pressings so the improvement may not be for everyone but I found it a keeper.
