Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

I've been reading as much as I can find on dedicated lines, as I am in a new house, and can do what I want.
Al Sekela frequently mentions the isolation resulting from sperate feeds for each component-- how does this work, as they are tied together at the panel? I am not challenging that he is correct, but rather asking for a bit more info as to how the isolation "works".
I am also thinking of using the cardas in-wall ac cable, and that would pretty much limit me to a single circuit - $$-wise.
if the ground is through a wire rather than the conduit, are plastic outlet boxes up to code?
any other suggestions/comments?
