It's a good reference.
Not all the methods will be verifiable (or repeatable) in your system.

I found the info on positioning, and refining speaker position to be very helpful. The idea of room tuning and the methodical application of same were invaluable. My room sounds MUCH better now.

It's a small price to pay to make the most of what you already own.
