Ground has to be maintained for sure. I am saying that you can't do it on the PC with a Ti grounded shield, just that I'm not sure if that compromises the grounding. I assume that it wouldn't if the Ti ground wire is also in parallel, but not sure what happens if it's in series (may be using the terms wrong).

As to difference, I can hear no distinct difference. But you should be aware that these are cumulative up to a point I haven't reached yet. So the more the merrier. I do it on my PCs because I like the idea and I DIY my PCs anyway, so why not?
