Power Inverters for audio

Has anyone tried using a good power inverter and battery to get their system off the grid? My DAC and amp are already battery-powered but I would like to get the transport and preamp off ac. My 'audio' circuit is also shared by an LCD tv, cable box with hard-drive, massage chair, foot massager, a high-velocity fan, and an air purifier. My wife said all these items are non-negotiable necessities so I was wondering if using an optima battery and power inverter is a reasonable alternative. I already utilize a Chang Lightspeed conditioner and a couple of Veralab wood blocks. Any advice?
