alternative to wire nuts or solder for multiple ac outlet wires?

69.200.82.208

I'm taking out a single duplex outlet and putting in a dual duplex. The outlet daisy chains the 12 gauge wire to another outlet that feeds the TV and computer (no other way around this, at least they are downstream, if that matters.) I've been using an Oyaide SWO-XXX outlet, just daisy chaining the wire through, but want to "do things right", in an audio sense, and join the incoming ac wire and outgoing (to final outlet) wire with two pigtails (to run to each of the duplex outlets I'm putting in), rather than passing ac through one outlet to the other (jumper), and then out to final outlet (in other words, star wiring.) Just doing a pass-through (ac into Oyaide, then jumper out to another Oyaide or cryo Hubbell, then out to final AC outlet wire) would be easiest, but audio police say this is a no-no. So for a secure connection, I can either have four wires in one large wire nut (cleaned, then maybe with Mapleshade silclear added), or solder them together (may not be code, right?) Wondering if there is some sort of good clamping mechanism that can tightly hold four 12 gauge AC wires together, better than wire nuts (and easier than soldering.)
