That is the problem using choke in paralle with the load to filter out low frequency noise, if it is hookup after the power switch that feed the loads, when you trun off the switch, you will get a large kick back into the loads. RichardGrey was showing off how much energy is store in their choke by hooking up a light bulb in parraell with the choke and apply a power from Dc batteries, when switch is open the bulb will light up brightly. I do not think a kick back voltage, can be thousand of volts will be good for the equipment.
