....a second version. Oyaide has been providing the XXX with a black "face" so it can color-match the WPC-Z wall mount unit (with its carbon fiber outlet cover). It's a very simple matter to change out the regular purple face for a black one, or vice-versa. Perhaps your dealer didn't look inside the box.

As far as the gold-plating on the 079....usually they are shiny, but once in a while the finish can be less than perfect. If you are not happy, ask for an exchange with your dealer. I've done this with a customer on the rare occasion as well.
